Plank, Sylvester (1880 - 1967)
NEILLSVILLE, CLARK COUNTY Services for Sylvester Plank, 87, of 408 Oak St., Neillsville, who died Monday morning, Feb. 5, 1968, at Memorial Home, were held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Georgas Funeral Home on fifth St., with the Rev. W. C. Koehler, pastor of the United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Plank was born Feb. 24, 1880, at Mineral Point, Wis., and was
educated there. He came to Clark County in 1921 and operated a farm
near Greenwood. He retired in 1960 and then moved to Neillsville.
He was married at Mineral Point on March 19, 1902, to the former
Pearl Gallow, who preceded him in death on March 10, 1965.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Helen Francis, Neillsville
Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Neuenfeldt, Spencer Mrs. Mildred Carney,
Chicago, Ill. and Mrs. John (Margaret) Richards, Mount Prospect,
Ill. a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Eleanor Plank, Greenwood eight
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter,
and by 10 brothers and sisters.
