Greene, Belva (1885 - 1968)


GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY Mrs. Clarence Greene, 82, a former resident of Greenwood and Loyal, died Tuesday, Mar. 19, 1968, in a hospital at Niles, Mich. She became ill while visiting her daughter, Mrs. Douglas Goehring at Buchanan, Mich.


Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hill Funeral Home here, with the Rev. Carl Booher, pastor of Grace Methodist Church, Greenwood, officiating. Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


The body will repose at the funeral home from Thursday evening until the time of services.


The former Belva Shoemaker was born June 20, 1885, at Augusta. Her marriage to Clarence Greene, who survives, took place June 20, 1905, in Clark County.


Other survivors are her daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Beatrice) Goehring, Buchanan, Mich. a son, Orville H. Greene, Loyal five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
