GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church for a former Greenwood resident, John T. Johnson, 74, of Wisconsin Rapids, who was pronounced dead on arrival at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 29, 1969, at the Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, after suffering an apparent heart attack.
The Rev. Arvid Myhrwold, pastor, will officiate and burial will be
made in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hill
Funeral Home until 11 a.m., and then at the church until time of
services.
A single man all his life, Mr. Johnson was born Feb. 11, 1895, in
Chicago, son of the late Martin and Anna Johnson. The family lived
in Chicago until 1908, when they moved to Hawkins, Wis. In 1918
they moved to Greenwood. Mr. Johnson was engaged in farming and had
lived here until 1949, at which time he moved to Waukegan, Ill. In
October of 1968 he moved to Wisconsin Rapids. He was a veteran of
World War I.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Bertha (Betty) Johnson, Wisconsin
Rapids, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
