Goettsch, Esther Ann (1896 - 1969)
GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY--Mrs. Henry Goettsch, 72, Greenwood, died
at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, Mar. 29, 1969, at St. Joseph's Hospital, where
she had been a patient since March 17. Death was due to an apparent
heart attack.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hill Funeral Home.
The Rev. LeRoy Urman, Lutheran pastor, will officiate and burial
will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home beginning Tuesday
afternoon.
The former Esther Ann Cronin was born in Warba, Minn., Oct. 4,
1896, and received nurses training at St. Joseph's School of
Nursing at Marshfield and at Wauwatosa. She died graduate work at
the Marquette University in Milwaukee.
Her marriage to Henry Goettsch took place Nov. 26, 1932 at South
Bend, Ind. He preceded her in death Jan. 3, 1968. Following their
marriage the couple lived at Detroit, Mich., until 1933, when they
moved to a farm at Greenwood. In 1957 they retired and moved to the
city of Greenwood.
Survivors include two brothers, Floyd Cronin, Rockford, Ill. James
Cronin, Merrill four sisters, Mrs. Owen (Margaret) Williams,
Glendive, Mont. Mrs. Gertrude McCann, Mrs. Phillip (Anna) Vollrath
and Mrs. Martin (Dolly) Zickert, all of Greenwood.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by three brothers and
a sister.
