Wieting, Donald (1922 - 1990)
Donald Wieting, 67, rural Neillsville, died Friday, April 26, 1990,
at St. Joseph's Hospice Care Unit, Marshfield. Funeral services
were held Monday, April 30, 1990, at St. Mary's Catholic Church,
Neillsville. Fr. Joseph Henseler officiated. Burial was in St.
Mary's Cemetery, Neillsville. Family members served as
pallbearers.
Donald Wieting was born Sept. 7, 1922, in Neillsville to Anthony
and Mamie (Seidelmann) Wieting. He received his education in
Neillsville. After school he farmed locally and drove a milk route,
several years later he moved to Milwaukee and drove for Advance
Trucking. He married Catherine Wilson on Feb. 12, 1945, in
Milwaukee. Later he drove for Klein's Cattle Trucking. He then
worked as a carpenter fo MaCon Construction in Milwaukee, retiring
in 1982. He returned to Neillsville in 1983.
Survivors include his wife, four sons, Robert, West Bend John,
Richfield Ed, Slinger Jerome, Milwaukee one daughter, Mrs. Paul
(Julie) Pfiester, Menomonee Falls three sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Leona)
Fischer, Spencer Mrs. Don (Rosie) Kunze, Neillsville Mrs. Jim
(Dorothy) Frankos, Las Vegas, Nev. one brother, Arthur Wieting,
Richfield, and 11 grandchildren.
