Braiser, Eva (1905 - 1990)
Eva Braiser, 84, Loyal, died Friday, May 4,
1990, at Marshfield Living Center, Marshfield. The Loyal Legion
Auxiliary Unit 175 held at 7 p.m. memorial service and the Royal
Neighbors conducted a prayer service at 8 p.m., Sunday evening May
6, 1990. Funeral services were held Monday, May 7, 1990, at St.
Anthony's Catholic Church. Fr. Roman Kaiser officiated. Cremation
rites will be performed and the ashes will be interred in St.
Anthony's Cemetery at a later date. Serving as pallbearers were
David LaBarge, Bill Braiser, Randy Linzmeir, Tim Hookers, Jerry
Brecht and Milton Fitzl, Jr.
Eva (Mattord) Braiser was born May 27, 1905, in Nadeu, Mich. to
Victor and Emma Mattord. She received her education through the
10th grade. She married Gerald Braiser on Jan. 13, 1925, in
Rhinelander. She worked in the veneer factory in Rhinelander and
did housework for people during her adult life. She retired at age
73. She was a member of Royal Neighbors of America, Loyal American
Legion Auxiliary and a gold star mother.
Survivors include one son, Darwin, Loyal two daughters, Mrs. Jerome
(Shirley) Brecht, Green Bay Mrs. Ardyth Rossow, Junction City,
Oregon six sisters, Karrie, Nevada Lilly, Washington Eunice,
Michigan Eldora, Michigan Louise, Nevada Hazel, Nevada one brother,
Cyrill Mattord, Michigan 14 grandchildren and 17
great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, one son
Gerald, two brothers and three sisters.
Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal was in charge of the
arrangements.
