Thwing, Melvin (1914 - 1990)
Melvin Thwing, 75, Abbotsford, died at 4:45 p.m., Friday, May 4 ,
1990, at St. Joseph's Hospital Hospice Care Unite, Marshfield.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. May 7, at Maurina Funeral
Home, Abbotsford. Rev. Paul Kirker, Owen, officiated. Burial was in
the East Beaver Cemetery, Loyal.
Melvin Thwing was born July 29, 1914, in the Town of Beaver and
attended La Tart School and later Greenwood High School. He worked
doing shoe repair in Bloomer from 1948 - 60 and then moved to
Abbotsford and lived with his mother, Mrs. Ruth Stowe. He had been
a resident of Continental Manor, Abbotsford, for the past six and a
half years. He never married.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Clifford (Clara) Kane,
Oxfordville one brother, Harold Stowe, West Asheville, N.C. and
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Stowe and one brother,
Lawrence.
Maurina Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
