MRS. LEONA GREVE
Funeral services for Mrs. Leona Greve, 87, of 207 Wis. St.,
Spencer, were conducted at Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity, on
Monday, July 3 at 1:30 p.m.
Mrs. Greve passed away at her daughter s home in Pecatonica, Ill.
On Friday, June 30, 1978 at 8:45 a.m.
Officiating at the services was Rev. Elton Moore. Interment was in
the parish Cemetery.
Leona Holthusen was born on June 20, 1891 in Manitowoc County to
John and Elisa (Luepke) Holthusen and received her education at New
Holstein Area Schools.
She was married to Harry Greve in Waukegan, Ill. On March 4, 1915.
They lived in Spencer for the past six years. They were also
resident of the Unity and Loyal, Clark County areas at one
time.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity and Royal
Neighbors of Loyal. She had received her 50-years pin from Royal
Neighbors.
Surviving her are her husband, Harry two sons, Milton of Milwaukee;
and Gene of Fond du Lac; two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Mavis)
Benning of Pecatonica, Ill.; And Mrs. Charles (Lorraine) Smith of
Syracuse, N.Y.; seven grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, was in charge of arrangements.
