Schecklman, Philip (1893 - 1991)


Philip Schecklman, 98, Rt. 4, Neillsville, died Wednesday, March 20, 1991, at Marshfield Living Center, Marshfield.


Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 1991, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Rev. Roman Kaiser officiated and burial was in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joe Walter, Tony Walter, Franklin Walter, David Walter, Jerome Wehe and Jim Hannan.


Philip Schecklman was born Feb. 23, 1893, in the Town of York.


He married Helen Fechhelm March 5, 1935, in Abbotsford. He farmed in the Town of York all his life, retiring in 1965. They continued living on the farm. His wife preceded him in death in 1985. In 1985, he lived with his nephew, Ed Schecklman. Since 1988, he had been residing at the Marshfield Living Center. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.


Survivors include nieces and nephews.


He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three sisters and two brothers.


Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
