John Lendo Windom, 89, formerly of Greenwood, died Monday, Feb. 18, 1991 at Neillsville Memorial Home, Neillsville. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 1991, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Greenwood. Rev. Richard Sorenson officiated and burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery. Great-nephews served as pallbearers.

John Lendo Windom was born June 24, 1901, in Melrose, to Thor and Randy (nee Halverson ) Windom. He received his education at North Dakota schools. He farmed north of Greenwood, in the Town of Warner. In 1957, he moved into Greenwood. Since November 1988 he had been a resident at the Neillsville Memorial Home.

Survivors include three nieces, Mrs. Russell (Betty) Siddons, Two Rivers Mrs. John (Jane) Crank, Janesville and Mrs. Raymond (Marie) Braden, Rifle, Col.

He is preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and five sisters.
