Rasmussen, Madeline C. (1918 - 1990)
Madeline C. Rasmussen, 72, La Crosse,
formerly of Greenwood, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 1990, in St. Francis
Home. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 21, 1990 at the
First Presbyterian Church, La Crosse. Rev. James Izzo and Rev. Alan
Townsend officiated.
Madeline Carlsen was born Nov. 12, 1918, in Spencer, to Carl and
Bertha (nee Weber) Carlsen. She married Viggo Rasmussen on Feb. 19,
1938, in Minneapolis. He Survives. She was a member Of P.E.O.
Chapter AL in La Crosse, a founder of P.E.O. Chapter DC in
Onalaska, and was active in Campus Dames. She was a deacon at First
Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband two daughters, Jan Wiggert, Holmen
and Rozalyn Farrell, Laytonville, Calif. one sister, Murial
Erdmann, Menomonee Falls and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one sister and
one brother.
