Hemp, Amanda E. (1915 - 1990)
Amanda Hemp, 73, La Crosse, died Feb. 9,
1990, at Bethany St. Joseph's Nursing Home, La Crosse. Funeral
services were held Monday, Feb. 12, 1990, at Gesche Funeral Home,
Neillsville. Rev. Erik Zingleman officiated. Burial was in
Neillsville City Cemetery. Family members and friends served as
pallbearers.
Amanda (Kuester) Hemp was born June 26, 1915, in the Town of York
to Ferdinand and Anna (Bub) Kuester. She married John Hemp on Sept.
6, 1932, in Neillsville. He died Aug. 13, 1977. She was a member of
the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Black River Falls.
Surviving her are one son, Ronald Hemp, La Crosse five sisters,
Sadie O Brian, Neillsville Isabelle DeMert, Neillsville Annie
Zobler, West Allis Beulah Landerman, Kenosha Minnie Grap, Milwaukee
four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her parents, husband, one son (John), two grandchildren two sisters
and one brother preceded her in death.
Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., handled the arrangements.
