Schlinsog, Emil (1918 - 1990)
Emil Schlinsog, 72, Granton, died Friday,
Dec. 7, 1990, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral
services were held Monday, Dec. 10, 1990, at 11 a.m. at Zion
American Lutheran, Church, Granton. Rev. Allen Saugstad officiated
and burial was in the Zion American Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jeff Schlinsog, Jay Schlinsog, Jim Schlinsog, Kip
Schlinsog, Steve Schlinsog and Scott Schlinsog.
Emil Schlinsog was born Feb. 8, 1918, in the Town of Grant, Clark
County, to August and M. Margaret Schlinsog. He received his
education in the Roder School. After school, he began working on
the family farm in the Town of Grant. He farmed there until his
retirement in 1977. He married Loraine M. Lucht June 1, 1940, in
Schofield. She survives. He was a member of Zion American Lutheran
Church, Granton the board of education, Granton Church Council,
Granton Senior Citizens, and Tri-State Breeders.
Survivors include his wife one son, Marvin Schlinsog, Marshfield
two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Margaret) Blaskowski, Granton and Mrs.
Gary (Marjorie) Dahl) Granton one brother, Wilbur Schlinsog,
Marshfield eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., handled the arrangements.
