Schultz, Emma (1892 - 1990)
Emma Louis Schultz, 98, Abbotsford, died
Friday, Aug. 3, 1990, at 3:40 p.m. at Continental Manor Nursing
Home, Abbotsford. Services were held Monday, Aug. 6, at 2 p.m. at
Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, with Rev. Mark G. Neumann
officiating. Great-grandsons served as pallbearers and burial was
in the Abbotsford Public Cemetery.
Emma Ulrich was born June 19, 1892, in Deshler, Neb., to Fredrick
and Augustine (Wilde) Ulrich. After moving to this area, she
attended Dorchester Public and parochial schools. She was a
housekeeper in Eau Claire and Milwaukee. On Nov. 27, 1913, she and
George Schultz were married in Dorchester. They farmed east of
Abbotsford, retiring in 1960. She was a member of Christ Lutheran
Church and Rosedale Homemakers' Club.
She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Merle) Cole, Mrs.
Fred (Lorna) Schmelzer, Mrs. Carl (Trudie) Fischer, Mrs. Donald
(Red) Lieightman, all of Colby Mrs. Raymond (Lucille) Waldhart of
Wausau and Mrs. Clyde (Carmen) Broeske of Dorchester three sons,
Clarence (Sunny) of Bemidji, Mich. Wallace of Abbotsford and Clyde
of Spencer 46 grandchildren 119 great-grandchildren and 29
great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 14, 1956 one
daughter, eight brothers, three sisters four great-grandchildren
and one great-great-grandchild.
Rux Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.
