Weyhmiller, Kenneth (1917 - 1978)
Kenneth Weyhmiller, 61, 702 Maryland Ave.,
Schofield, died Wednesday evening, July 19, 1978 at St. Joseph's
Hospital, Marshfield.
Mr. Weyhmiller, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Otto Weyhmiller, was
born Jan. 11, 1917 in Loyal, Clark County. He was a graduate of the
Loyal High School and served in the Navy during World War II. After
the war he returned to Loyal, where he was employed as Street
Commissioner and Superintendent of the City Water Department.
After his marriage to Dorothy Luck Preller on Jan. 9, 1957, in
Waukon, Iowa, he moved to Schofield where he was Superintendent of
Public Works.
He was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, where he served
as a council member. He was also a member of the Loyal Masonic
Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Sue and Patricia at
home, two sons, Jerry Preller of Wausau; and Robert Preller of
Scottsdale, Ariz.; a brother, Maurice of Pleasant Hills, Cal.; one
sister, Mrs. Keith (Harriet) Krier of Minneapolis, Minn.; and three
grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, July 22 at 10 a.m., at Mount Calvary
Lutheran Church of Rothschild. Rev. William Wake officiated and
burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.
Pallbearers were Cullen Ayers, Carl Myre, John Mootz, Art Knipple,
Earl Winnie and Ray Suchomski.
Mrs. Salheim was the organist and Gene Helke sang "How Great Thou
Art" and "Just a Closer Walk With Thee".
