Rohloff, Edward (1910 - 1990)
Edward Rohloff, 79, Loyal, died Wednesday,
June 27, 1990, at St. Joseph's Hospice Care Unit, Marshfield.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 30, 1990 at Trinity
Lutheran Church, Loyal. Rev. Joseph Kraly officiated. Burial was in
the Loyal Lutheran Cemetery. Nephews served as pallbearers.
Edward Rohloff was born Aug. 20, 1910, in the town of Unity to
Philip and Wilhemina (Pieper) Rohloff. He married Gertrude Wolter
on June 27, 1934, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. They farmed
in the town of Unity until 1856. They moved to the city of Loyal in
1958. He then became an American Family Farm Insurance Agent,
retiring in 1977. He served as assessor for the town of Unity for
17 years, was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, a member
of Riplinger School Board, Lutheran Church Board and Loyal Rotary
Club and former secretary of the Loyal Bowling League
Association.
Surviving him are his wife, Gertrude three sisters, Mrs. Frieda
Olsen, Loyal Mrs. Elsie Toltzman, Abbotsford, Mrs. Esther Schultz,
Marshfield five foster children and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother,
William.
Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, handled the arrangements.
