Nysted, Tilla (1890 - 1990)
Tilla Nysted, 100, formerly of Loyal, died
Saturday, June 30, 1990, in Colfax, where she was a resident of a
nursing home. Funeral services were held Monday, July 2, 1990, at
Bethany Lutheran Church in Colfax. Interment was at the Loyal
Cemetery on Tuesday, July 3, 1990. Pallbearers were Jim Ursin,
Larry Tribolini. David Nysted, Orville Nysted. Leonard Nysted and
Randy Pinet.
Tilla (Holt) Nysted was born on June 16, 1890, in the town of
Norton to John and Martina Holt. She received her education at the
Norton School. She worked for a short time as a waitress in North
Dakota before her marriage. She married Peter Nysted on Dec. 2,
1911. They moved to the Loyal area in the early 1930 s. They
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1961. He died in 1971.
After her husband s death, she lived with her daughter, Wanda Auth,
in Colfax and entered the nursing home in 1984. While living in
Loyal she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Adult
Bible Class. At the time of her death she was a member of the
Bethany Lutheran Church in Colfax.
Surviving her are three sons, Julius of Flagstaff, ariz. Orville of
Colfax, and Leonard of Highland Park, Ill. six daughters, Margaret
Noeldner of Greenwood Pearl Ursin of Nekoosa Violet Pinet of Rolla,
Mo. Wanda Auth of Colfax Mary Nysted of Star Lake and Jeanne
Richstad of Eau Claire 28 grandchildren and 39
great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and two sons.
