Vogel, Kate (1906 - 1990)
Kate Vogel, 84, formerly of Loyal, died
Sunday, July 15, 1990, at 9:45 a.m. at the Clark County Health Care
Center, Owen.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, at St.
Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal, with Rev. Roman Kaiser
officiating. Nephews served as pallbearers.
The former Kate Neubauer was born Jan. 6, 1906 in Germany to John
and Mary (Demlitner) Neubauer. She and her family moved to the
United States in 1910, settling in the Medford area. She attended
Medford parochial schools. On Nov. 15, 1932, she and Henry Vogel
were married in Medford. They then moved to Loyal. She had been
employed in Marshfield, and at the Loyal Canning Company. She was a
member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Survivors include eight sisters, Mrs. Mary Stauner, Almena Mrs.
Bertha Schreck, Cadott Mrs. Grace Welsh, Owen Mrs. Annie (John)
Vesefsky, Mrs. Rose Schmeiser, Mrs. Frances Lange, Mrs. Agnes
Schubert, and Mrs. Frieda (Albert) Johnson, all of Medford and two
brothers, Christian and Maynard, both of Medford. She was preceded
in death by her parents, her husband in 1955, and seven
brothers.
Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, handled arrangements.
