Meyer, Paul (1907 - 1990)
Paul Meyer, 83, Marshfield, died at 3:15 p.m.
Tuesday, July 10, 1990, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
Private Graveside services were held Saturday, July 14, 1990, at
St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Greenwood. Rev. Roman Kaiser of St.
Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal, officiated.
Paul Meyer was born May 12, 1907, in Hoya, Germany, to Friederich
and Dora Meyer. He received his education in Germany. He married
Anne Verschay on May 4, 1932, in New York City. She died in 1982.
He came to the United States in 1924. He was employed in the
grocery business in New York until 1945, when he moved to
Greenwood, where he operated the Greenwood Caf until 1949. He then
operated a resort in Minoqua until 1964, when he retired. He lived
in San Jose, Calif. Until 1984, when he moved to Marshfield. He was
affiliated with St. John's catholic Church, Marshfield, and
formerly a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood.
He is survived by one daughter, Nancy Meyer Kolmodin of Orinda,
Calif. And two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by several brothers, and sisters.
Hansen Funeral Home, Marshfield, handled the arrangements.
