Riedel, Paul F. (1917 - 1990)


Paul F. Riedel, 72, Route 1, Granton, died at Neillsville Memorial Home, Neillsville, Aug. 21, 1990. Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 24, 1990, at Zion Lutheran Church, Granton. Rev. Herbert Biermann officiated and burial was in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. Family and friends served as pallbearers.


Paul F. Riedel was born Aug. 24, 1917, in Granton, to Charles and Anna (nee Hutzelbuhler) Riedel. He was educated at the Sunbeam School and the Zion Lutheran School in the Granton area. He married Lois Howard She preceded him in death in 1939. He spent his life working the family farm in the Town of Lynn. He also worked for Moldenhauer Sawmill for 10 years, and for Kuehl Implement Co. for 15 years. He married Lorna Lindow Nov. 1, 1947, in Fond du Lac. She survives. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.


Survivors include his wife, Lorna three sons, Charles Riedel, Granton Stanley Riedel, Granton and Amos Riedel, Granton one daughter, Mrs. Duane (Karen) Reed, Lena, Ill. two step-sisters, Mrs. Selma Helnze, Spencer and Mrs. Neita Kelly, Milwaukee eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.


He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, one brother, one step-sister, and two step-brothers.
Gesche Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
