McDonnell, Lawrence J. (1924 - 1990)
 

Lawrence J. McDonell, 66, Neillsville, died at his home Wednesday, Aug. 29, 1990. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 1, 1990, at 11 a.m. at Gesche Funeral Home, Inc. Neillsville. Rev. Richard F. Weber officiated.

The body will be cremated.

Lawrence J. McDonnell was born March 31, 1924, in Cadott, to Frank and Clara McDonnell. He received his education in the Milwaukee area. Following his education he entered the Navy. Upon discharge he worked for Prescott Manufacturing. He then began truck driving from which her retired 12 years ago. After retirement he moved to Neillsville. He married Dorothy Bell Feb. 12, 1955, in Dubuque, Iowa. He was a member of teamsters Union Local 200.

Survivors include two sons, Gary McDonnell, Neillsville and Shawn McDonnell, Salina, Kansas two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Sue Ann) Beecher, Milwaukee and Mrs. Rosemary Goldstone, Milwaukee three sisters, Mrs. Ray (Mary) King, Florida Mrs. Tend (Patsy) Arrowwood, Shawano and Mrs. Cliff (Edith) Arrowwood, Shawano two brothers, Regis McDonnell, San Bernadino, Calif. and Willis McDonnell, Milwaukee and three grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Gesche Funeral Home Inc., Neillsville, handled the arrangements.
