Nitschke, Arnold E. (1903 - 1990)


Arnold E. Nitschke, 87, Granton, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 1990, at Neillsville Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 21, 1990, at 11 a.m. at Zion American Lutheran Church, Granton. Rev. Allan Saugstad officiated and burial was in the Zion American Lutheran Church Cemetery, Granton. Pallbearers were John Hammond, Alvin Hanson, Grant Rose, David Lavey, Keith Bass and Norman Wesenberg.


Arnold E. Nitschke was born May 10, 1903, in the town of Lynn, Clark County, to Ernest and Ernestine (nee Roder) Nitschke. He received his education in town of Lynn schools. After school, he farmed on the family farm until 1971, when he retired and moved to Granton. He married Elda Guk Oct. 23, 1938, in Granton. She preceded him in death. He was a member of Zion American Lutheran Church.


Survivors include one son, Roger Nitschke, Granton.


He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents, one brother and three sisters.


Gesche Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
