Hainzlsperger, Ervin Otto (1923 - 1990)

Ervin Otto Hainzlsperger, 67, Unity, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 1990, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 2, 1990, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby. Rev. Bruce Ball officiated and burial was in Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jim Jones, Elmer Reigel, Boyd Plummer, Charles Neitzel, Arlyn Bruesewitz and Rich Wilbur.

Ervin Otto Hainzlsperger was born July 5, 1923, in Loyal, to John and Stella (nee Noll) Hainzlsperger. He received his education in Colby Schools. He worked for the St. Croix Fish Pole Factory in St. Croix Falls, Pathfinder Homes, Spencer, and for P.A. Dins Feed Mill for 10 years. He was a 30 year member of the Unity volunteer Fire Department. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army from Oct. 6, 1943, to March 18, 1946. He received a Good Conduct Medal, American Theatre Ribbon and a WWII Victory Ribbon. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his mother, Stella Hainzlsperger, Colby five daughters, Stella Phillips, Abbotsford Ellen Hainzlsperger, Abbotsford Mary Jane Selves, Neillsville Susan Roth, Colby and Rebecca Weiler, Abbotsford two sons, Ervin Jr., Union Grove and Richard, Colby 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, one daughter and two brothers.

Rux Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
