Herderer, Herbert Edward (1917 - 1990)
Herbert Edward Hederer, 73, Colby, died
Saturday, Nov. 3, 1990, at Continental Manor Nursing Home, Colby.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 6, 1990, at 11 a.m. at
Zion Lutheran Church, Colby. Rev. Mark Neumann officiated and
burial was in the Colby Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bob Drazler, Dennis Baumgartner, Vern Baumgartner,
Henry Carr, Dick Young and Don Herderer.
Herbert Edward Hederer was born may 5, 1917, in the town of Hull,
Marathon County, to Henry and Elizabeth (nee Rucks) Herderer. He
graduated from Colby High School in 1936. He married Virginia
Woodkey Oct. 1, 1949, at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby. She survives.
He worked as a carpenter for Rannow Cabinet and Supply in Colby and
at Rolla Homes in Marshfield. He also farmed in the town of Hull.
He was a veteran of WWII in the U.S. Army. He was a former 3rd Ward
Alderman in Colby.
Survivors include his wife three daughters, Bonnie Baumann, Colby
Colleen Dayton, Neillsville and Ellen Movroydis, West Bend two
sisters, Helen Meyer, Marshfield and Audrey Jacobi, Athens and
seven grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Rux Funeral Homes handled the arrangements.
