Becker, Walter John (1906 - 1990)

Walter John Becker, 84, Neillsville, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 1990, at Neillsville Memorial Home, Neillsville. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 20, 1990, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Rev. Roman Kaiser officiated and burial was in St. Anthony's Cemetery.

Nephews served as pallbearers. Full military rites were performed.

Walter John Becker was born Oct. 8, 1906, in Stockton, Ill., to Joseph and Elizabeth (nee Wand) Becker. He moved to Iowa with his parents in 1909 and to Wisconsin in 1923. He was in the service from 1942-45. He worked at Wyman Gordon, Harvey, Ill., from 1939 - 1970, as a loading dock supervisor. He moved to Loyal in 1970. He was a resident of Memorial Home since 1982. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Survivors include one sister, Corrine Ryser, Marshfield and nieces and nephews He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
