Hoeft, Esther L. (1913 - 1990)
Esther L. Hoeft, 77, died Thursday, Nov. 22,
1990, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were
held Sunday, Nov. 25, 1990, at 2:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church,
Granton. Rev. Herbert Biermann officiated and burial was in
Windfall Cemetery, Granton. Pallbearers were Jim Hanson, Kory
Braatz, Randy Ronk, Scot Hanson, George Ronk and Mark Ronk.
Esther L. Wagenkecht was born June 29, 1913, in Kile, to Gustave J.
and Lydia (nee Strassburger) Wagenkecht. She received her education
in Kil and graduated in 1931. She then worked for Kiel Egg
Processing Co. until 1938, when she moved to Granton. She married,
C. F. Ray Hoeft Nov. 12, 1938, in Kiel. He survives. She was a
member of Zion Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, town of Grant
Homemakers Club, and a lifetime member of Southern Clark County
Sportsman's Club.
Survivors include her husband one son, William Hoeft, Granton two
daughters, Mrs. James (Marie) Kohlbeck, Marshfield, and Mrs. Dale
(Nancy) Braatz, Stevens Point one sister, Mrs. Florence Ronk
Schlocton one brother, Raymond Wagenkecht, Kiel four grandchildren,
and two great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one
sister.
Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., handled the arrangements.
