Stevens, Ross (1907 - 1990)
Ross Stevens, 83, Spencer, died Tuesday, Nov.
17, 1990, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services
were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 1990, at Rinka Funeral Home,
Loyal. Rev. Lyle Curtis, Waupaca, officiated. Burial will be in the
Loyal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roger Gessert, Ted Boe, Steve
Schlinsog, Leroy Horn, Tony Bezlyk and Gary Wegner.
Ross Stevens, was born April 2, 1907, in the town of Sherman, to
Chauncey and Maud (nee Turner) Stevens. He received his education
at Griffith School in the town of Sherman. He farmed all his life
in the town of Sherman, retiring in 1986.
He continued to live on the home place. He married Innis Snyder,
April 29, 1931, in the town of Fremont. She survives. He served on
the board of directors for Chili Milk Pool, served on Griffith
School Board, and was superintendent of the Veefkind Church.
Survivors include his wife one daughter, Mrs. Andrew (Dona)
Balciar, Marshfield and one granddaughter, Mrs. Roger (Brenda)
Gessert, Marshfield.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
