Lobacz, Eleanor (1925 - 1990)
Eleanor Lobacz, 64, town of Reseburg, died at
6 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 1990, at Neillsville Memorial Home. Funeral
services were held Thursday, June 28, 1990, at St. Bernard's
Catholic Church, Thorp. Rev. John Puerner officiated. Burial was in
the parish cemetery.
Eleanor (Turenne) Lobacz was born Dec. 24, 1925, in Thorp, to the
late Albert and Mildred Turenne. She married Stanley Lobacz Oct. 2,
1946, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church. He died in April 1989. She
lived in the town of Reseburg all her life. She was a member of
Oakland Homemakers and St. Bernard's Rosary Society.
Survivors include four sons, Allen of Greenwood, Roy of Waukegan,
Ill., William of California and Roger of Arlington, Tex. two
daughters, Yvonne Petkovsek of Greenwood and Antonette Dillingham
of fort Worth, Tex. five brothers, Clarence and Fred, both of
Thorp, Chuck of Oregon, Phillip of Illinois and John of California
four sisters, Grace Lobacz of Thorp, Marion Lobacz of Withee, and
Betty Sporrer and Julia, both of Oregon nine grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.
Preceding her in death were two sons, one daughter, two brothers
and one grandchild.
Thorp Funeral Home, Thorp, was in charge of the arrangements.
