Boyce, Eugene L. (1914 - 1990)
Funeral services were held Monday, June 25, 1990, in the Lombard
Little Chapel of the Chimes for Eugene L. Boyce, 75, Portland. He
died Saturday, June 23, 1990, in his home. Disposition will be by
cremation.
Eugene Boyce was born Nov. 23, 1914, in Clinton, and grew up in the
Greenwood area. He had been a resident of Portland since 1947. He
was a pressman and printer for 20 years with the former Crown
Zellerbach Corp. He served as the first president of the Joint
Council No. 3 that represented printing specialists and paper
products employees. He also served as president of Printing
Specialists Union Local 387.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma two daughters, Johna Gardner, of
Boring and Bonnie Merkel of Monmouth a son, Michael of Puyallup,
Wash. eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
