Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 19 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, for Herbert Voss, 67, of Route 2, Loyal, Clark County, who passed away at 12:25 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 15, 1978 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Officiating at the services was Rev. Bruno Schlachtenhaufen. Ron Gulch was the organist and the congregation sang. Interment was in the Lutheran Cemetery.

Herbert Voss was born to Harry and Marie (Schwan) Voss on Sept. 12, 1910 in the Town of Loyal. He received his education at Mack School and Loyal High School. After graduation he operated an independent trucking business for sever years.

He was married to Gertrude Beaver, who preceded him in death. He later married Nelda Carl on Sept. 27, 1947 in Milwaukee.
He operated the family farm in the Town of Loyal, retiring in 1969.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nelda two sons, Kenneth of Loyal and Wayne of Christie one sister, Selma of Hustisford, Wis.; And eight grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Richard Schlinsog, Gary Luchterhand, Jerry Noeldner, Jerry Peterson, Roger Carl and Gordon Haselow.
Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, was in charge of arrangements.
