Vogel, Ray (1899 - 1989)
Ray Vogel, 90, Milwaukee, formerly of the
town of Beaver, died Friday, Dec. 29, 1989, at Mr. Carmel Nursing
Home in Milwaukee. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 2,
1990, at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal. Rev. Joseph Kraly officiated.
Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Loyal.
Ray Vogel was born July 30, 1899, in Loyal to John and Flora
(Sitts) Vogel. He received his education at Loyal schools through
the eighth grade. He married Mabel Baker in 1920. She died in 1924.
He later married Ethel Boehning on Dec. 5, 1927, in Waukegan, Ill.
She died April 2, 1968. He farmed south of Loyal for 10 years, then
farmed in the town of Beaver until 1966. In 1968 he moved to
Milwaukee. He was a former chairman of the town of Beaver and a
former board member.
Surviving him are two sons, Lawrence, Villa Park, Ill. Walter,
Cocoa, Fla. two daughters, Ms. James (Jean) Koci, Sun City, Ariz.
Mrs. Thomas (Diane) Prokop, Franklin 12 grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother, one daughter
(Beatrice), in infancy.
Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, was in charge of the arrangements.
