Wavrunek, Edna G. (1912 - 1989)
Edna G. Wavrunek, 77, Neillsville, died in
her home, Thursday, Dec. 26, 1989, at 7:05 p.m. Funeral services
were held Friday, Dec. 29, 1989, at St. Mary's Catholic Church,
Neillsville. Fr. James Lesczynski officiated. Burial was in St.
Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Edna G. (Collins) Wavrunek was born Nov. 29, 1912, to Capp and
Georgia (Brown) Collins in the town of Mead, Clark County. She
received her education in the Thorp area schools. She married
Joseph Wavrunek on Oct. 25, 1933, in Thorp. He died April 9, 1985.
In 1936 she and her husband moved to Neillsville, where she did
volunteer work at St. Mary's Grade School and also at the
Neillsville Memorial Home. She passed away following a lengthy
illness. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church,
Neillsville and St. Mary's
PCCW.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Norbert (Audrey) Speier,
Kenosha Mrs. Arnie (Kathleen) Pichler, Eau Claire three sons,
James, New Holstein Thomas, Neillsville Bernard, Colby two sisters,
Mrs. Gordon (Margaret) Zank, Pasco, Wash. Mrs. Joe (Nancy)
Cesafsky, Eau Claire one brother, Raymond Collins, Thorp 15
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren..
Preceding her in death were her husband, parents and one brother,
Cecil.
Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of the arrangements.
