Ryan, Lawrence (1916 - 1990)
Lawrence Ryan, 73, Route 1, Loyal, died
Sunday, Jan. 14, 1990, at 3:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital,
Marshfield. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 17, 1989, at
St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Father Chester Osowski
officiated. Burial was in St. Anthony's cemetery. Pallbearers were
Duane Stutte, Jim Miller, Ron Hoeser, Leonard Denk, Tom Lindner and
Duane Poehnelt.
Lawrence Ryan was born Jan. 19, 1916, in town of Scott, Columbia
County to John and Lucy (McGarth) Ryan. He received his education
at St. Anthony's School and Loyal High School. He never married. He
farmed along with working for the O. W. Trindal Co. and briefly at
UBC Lumber Co. He retired from farming in 1981. He had lived on his
farm since 1918. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic
Church.
Surviving him are four sisters, Gladys Ryan, Loyal Isabelle Kennow,
Marshfield Rosetta Beaver, Neillsville and Grace Klimmer, Stevens
Point.
Preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers and three
sisters.
Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, was in charge of the arrangements.
