Norton, Eleanor (1918 - 1990)
Eleanor Norton, 71, Morton, Ill., died
Wednesday, Jan. 24, 1990, at Fond du Lac Health Care Center,
Peoria, Ill. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 27, 1990, at
St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Rev. Jerome Theisen and Rev.
Chester Osowski officiated. Burial was in St. Anthony's Parish
Cemetery.
Eleanor (Theisen) Norton was born Jan. 26, 1918, in Milwaukee, to
William and Mary (Reif) Theisen. She was a graduate of the
Wisconsin State Teachers College, Stevens Point. She was a teacher
at Thorton High School, So. Milwaukee and had taught in many small
towns during her teaching career.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Bill (Maureen) Costello,
Morton, Ill. three brothers, Father Jerome, Collegeville, Minn.
William, Loyal, Dr. Charles, So. Milwaukee four sister, Mrs. Homer
(Barbie) Betts, Kirtland, Ohio Mrs. James (Florence) Ward, So.
Milwaukee Mrs. Fritz (Mary Jane) Helm, So. Milwaukee Mrs. Jerome
(Betty) Johnson, Eau Claire, and three grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and two
brothers.
Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal was in charge of the arrangements.
