Thoma, Minnie C. (1899 - 1990)


Minnie C. Thoma, Neillsville, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 1990, at 5:10 a.m. at Neillsville Memorial Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 31, 1990, at 1:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Globe. Rev. Paul Reede will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Thoma, Randy Henchen, Greg Thoma, Jeff Thoma, James Henchen and Gary Thoma.


Minnie (Meihack) Thoma was born Oct. 16, 1892, in the town of Weston to Edward and Caroling Meihack. She received her education in the Fairview School. She married Frank C. Thoma on May 24, 1922, in the town of Weston. They farmed there until they retired in 1963. Her husband died Jan. 26, 1979. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Globe and its Ladies Aid.


Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Irene) Henchen, Neillsville two sons, George and Gordon Thoma, both of Neillsville 12 grandchildren 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.


Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, one son, Robert, three brothers and three sisters.


Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., handled the arrangements.
