Stumpner, Arnold (1908 - 1990)
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, 1990, at St.
Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal, for Arnold Stumpner, 81, of 104
S. Gwinn, Loyal.
Mr. Stumpner died at 6:15 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 18, 1990, at Colonial
House Living Center, Colby.
Officiating at the service was Rev. Chester Osowski.
A prayer service was conducted at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20.
Serving as pallbearers were John Stumpner, Jim Stumpner, Jeff
Stumpner, Mike Stumpner, Ed Stumpner, Mark Stumpner and Joe Pachal.
Interment was in the Lutheran Cemetery, Loyal.
Arnold Stumpner was born on March 3, 1908, at Loyal to John and
Alvina (nee Braun) Stumpner. He was educated at Sunnyside
School.
On Nov. 14, 1935, he and Helen Daum were married at St. John's
Catholic Church, Marshfield. The celebrated their golden
anniversary in 1985.
After their marriage he farmed in the town of Beaver. In 1977 they
moved to the City of Loyal. He also worked for the Green Thumb
Program and was groundskeeper for the Loyal High School. He has
served on the Sunnyside School Board.
He is survived by his wife, Helen four sons, John of Big Bend, Wis.
George of Loyal Charles of Eau Claire and Thomas of Madison two
daughters, Mrs. Dale (Virginia) Johnson of Eau Claire and Mrs.
Milton (Rita) Pachal of Wausau one brother, Paul of Curtiss one
sister, Mrs. Laura Stayton of Wis. Rapids 14 grandchildren, five
great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were two sisters. And his parents.
