Sternitzky, Duane (1925 - 1990)
Duane Sternitzky, 64, Neillsville, died
Saturday, March 3, 1990, at 6:23 p.m., in the town of Levis, Clark
County, in an automobile accident. Funeral services were held
Wednesday, March 7, 1990, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Neillsville. Rev. Richard Weber officiated. Burial was in
Neillsville City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were family and
friends.
Duane Sternitzky was born April 30, 1925, in Lynn, to Carl and
Blanche (Wittke) Sternitzky. He received his education in Granton.
He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and
also of their graduate school. He married Clarice Fox on April 15,
1950, in Madison. They lived in Milwaukee for six years. He worked
as a Statistician with the Tuberculosis Society. They moved to
Neillsville in 1956, where he owned and operated the Sternitzky
Insurance Agency. He also owned the Coblyn Orchard in Lynn. He was
a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, and was a
veteran of WWII and Korea.
Survivors include one son, Stephen, Wisconsin Rapids three
daughters, Mrs. Randy (Ann) Barth, Chili Jill Sternitzky,
Marshfield Amy Sternitzky, Madison three sisters, Mrs. Edwin
(Arlene) Kalbes, West Allis Mrs. Henry (Shirley) Kuester, Waukesha
Mrs. Darrell (Patricia) Farnsworth, Marshfield two brothers,
Douglas, Nekoosa Donald, Chili and four grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of the arrangements.
