Hinkelmann, Margaret (1899 - 1990)


Margaret Hinkelmann, 90, formerly of Loyal, died at 2:47 p.m. Monday, March 12, 1990, at Colonial Living Center, Colby. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 15, 1990, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. Joseph Kraly will officiate. Burial will be in the Loyal Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 14, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal.


Margaret (Zuege) Hinkelmann was born May 12, 1899, in Weyewega to Frank and Caroline Zuege. She attended Lyons School and Trinity Lutheran School through the 8th grade. She married Floyd Gardner on Nov. 20, 1919, in Loyal. He died Jan. 29, 1952. On Aug. 18, 1954, she married Ernst Hinkelmann in Edgar. They farmed in the town of Loyal, retiring and moving to the city of Loyal in 1960. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal.


Survivors include one son, Vern Gardner, Loyal three daughters, Mrs. Lucille, Summer, Curtiss Mrs. Harold (Lorea) Kollmansberger, Loyal Mrs. Elmer (Velma) Gotter, Loyal one brother, Bernard Zuege, Milwaukee two sisters, Mrs. Anna Habhegger, Loyal and Mrs. Leona Martin, Loyal 22 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.


Preceding her in death were husbands Floyd Gardner and Ernst Hinkelmann one son, Harold five brothers and two sisters.
Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, is in charge of the arrangements.
