Marshall, Genevieve (1907 - 1991)

Genevieve Marshall, 83, Holmen, died Friday, May 10, 1991, at St. Francis Hospital, La Crosse. Funeral services were held Monday, May 13, 1991, at 2 p.m. at Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., Neillsville. Rev. Thomas LaChapelle officiated and burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Family and friends served as pallbearers.

Genevieve O'Brien was born Nov. 3, 1907, in the town of York, Clark County, to William and Anna (nee Krejci) O'Brien. She received her education in Neillsville. After school she worked at the Kearns Drug Store in Neillsville. She then went to Milwaukee where she worked for a few years, returning to the La Crosse area in later years. She married Claire B. Marshall Aug. 31, 1938, in Iowa.

Survivors include her husband, Claire, La Crosse one son, Larry A. Marshall, La Crosse one brother, Harold O'Brien, Neillsville two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
