Wallace, Dorothy L. (1912 - 1991)

Dorothy L. Wallace, 78, Neillsville, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 1991, at Memorial Home in Neillsville. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 1, at Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., Neillsville. Rev. Douglas Bjerke, of the Assembly of God Church, officiated. Cremation rites were accorded.

Dorothy L. Jake was born June 5, 1912, at Neillsville, to William and Mae (nee Haskins) Jake. She received her education in Christie and Neillsville area schools. She married Kenneth E. Wallace July 19, 1929, in Neillsville. He preceded her in death Sept. 29, 1958. She worked at the Model Laundry in Neillsville from the early 1960's until her retirement. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Neillsville.

Survivors include six sons, Kenneth Wallace Jr., Elmhorst, Ill. Richard Wallace, Beloit Ronald Wallace, South Beloit, Ill. Daniel Wallace, Humbird Wallace Wallace, Neillsville and Orin Wallace, Neillsville one brother, Orville Jake, Neillsville three sisters, Mrs. Wilbur (Ina) Turner, Kirkland, Wash. Mrs. Dana (Iva) Albee, Cambria and Mrs. roger (Marge) Riley, New London 28 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one son (Robert), and two brothers.

Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., handled the arrangements.
