Nast, George (1928 - 1991)
George Nast, 62, Rt. 1, Willard, died
Tuesday, April 23, 1991, at Neillsville Memorial Hospital,
Neillsville. Funeral services were held Friday, April 26, 1991, at
10 a.m. at Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., Neillsville. The Very Rev.
Michael Kudanovych officiated.
Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Randy
Hauge, Eric Hauge, George Miedziak, Ryan Hauge, Paul Miedziak, and
Walter Miedziak.
George Nast was born Oct. 19, 1928, in Rybnik, Poland, to John and
Maria (nee Shwajcar) Nast. He came to the United States in 1950. He
entered the Army in 1951. Upon returning to Chicago from the
service, he worked for New Metal Crafts in Chicago, where he worked
as a chandelier maker. He married Irene Krysiuk Aug. 30, 1953, in
Chicago. He worked there for 40 years, retiring in Oct. 1990. He
was a member of the Greenwood American Legion Post 238.
Survivors include his wife one daughter, Mrs. Randy (Natalie)
Hauge, Neillsville two sisters, Mrs. Natalie Sitek and Mrs. Steve
(Olga) Kotas, both of Poland and two grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Peter.
Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., handled the arrangements.
