Welsh, Grace (1913 - 1991)


Grace Welsh, 78, formerly of Loyal, died Tuesday, April 9, 1991, at St. Joseph's Hospice Unit, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday April 12, 1991, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Rev. Roman Kaiser officiated and burial was in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons Steve, Jeff and Bill Neubauer, Ed and David Heidewald, Robert Dow Jr., and John Welsh.


Grace Neubauer was born March 15, 1913, in Medford. She received her education at Medford Schools. She worked at the Loyal Canning Co. for many years. She married Ted Welsh June 23, 1936, in Loyal. E preceded her in death in 1978. She was a member of the Altar Society, Senior Citizens and American Legion Auxiliary.


Survivors include two sons, Richard Welsh, Minneapolis, Minn. James Welsh, Loyal two daughters, Mrs. Joan (Robert) Dow, Chicago, Ill. and Mrs. Judy (James) Heidewald, Chicago, Ill. seven sisters, Bertha Schreck, Cadott May Stauner, Almena and Anne Vesnefsky, rose Schmeiser, Frances Lange, Agnes Schubert and Freida Johnson, all of Medford two brothers, Ted Neubauer and Maynard Neubauer, both of Medford 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.


She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, one granddaughter, four brothers and one sister.
Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
