Diers, Lillian M. (1919 - 1991)
Lillian M. Diers, 71, Route 2, Neillsville,
died at 12:30 a.m. Friday, May 17, 1991, at the Wausau Hospital
Center in Wausau.
Services were Monday, May 20, at Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville
and burial was in the Neillsville Cemetery.
Lillian Bieneck was born Aug. 13, 1919, in the town of Pine Valley
to Earnest and Marie (Haas) Bieneck and educated in Neillsville
Public Schools, graduating in 1937. She did waitress work at the
old Merchants Hotel and later, after her marriage to Charles F.
Diers on Oct. 20, 1937, at Neillsville, they farmed in the town of
Pine Valley. She had also been employed at the First National Bank
in Neillsville, Nelson Filter in Neillsville, Figi's in Marshfield,
the day care center of Neillsville, Auto-Test, and the Neillsville
school system.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
She was a leader of the Happy Hustlers 4-H Club for many years and
was a Sunday school teacher and superintendent of the Sunday school
for 20 years.
Survivors include one son, Donald D. Diers, Stoughton two
daughters, Cheri Diers, Neillsville and Mrs. Scott (Linda) Thomas,
Milwaukee a brother, Paul Bieneck, Neillsville and four
grandchildren.
Her husband died June 5, 1982. She was also predeceased by one
sister.
