Funke, Lura (1911 - 1991)

Lura Funke, 79, New Holstein, died Thursday, May 16, 1991, at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville. Funeral services were held Sunday May 19, 1991, at the Erbe-Evjen Funeral Home, New Holstein. Rev. Raymond Coombs officiated. Burial was in the New Holstein City Cemetery.

Lura Amundson was born Dec. 19, 1911, at Redwood Falls, Minn., to Orlando and Olga (nee Olson) Amundson. She married Robert Funke April 5, 1933, in Sturgeon Bay. She was a past member of the New Holstein Liberal Arts Club, an avid bowler and golfer. The Funkes have a summer home at Rock Dam, Clark County.

Survivors include her husband, Robert, of New Holstein one son, Thomas, Port Washington one daughter, Nancy (Edward) Schneider, Anaheim, Calif. one sister, Bernice Rushka, New Holstein and five grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, one brother and one sister.
