Sagen, Eleanor (1921 - 1991)

Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 21, 19991 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville for Eleanor J. Sagen, 70, Neillsville, who died Tuesday, June 18 at 9:35 p.m. at St. Joseph's Hospice Care Unit in Marshfield. Burial was in the Neillsville Cemetery. Family members served as pallbearers.

The former Eleanor Epding was born Jan. 29, 1921, at Neillsville to John and Paula (Gorske) Epding and educated in Neillsville. She worked as a nurses aide at Memorial Home in Neillsville for a short time, and had worked in her home.
She married Edgar Sagen May 30, 1942 at Neillsville he died Nov. 1952.

Survivors include one son, Edgar Sagen II, of Wis. Rapids three daughters, Sylvia Sagen of Neillsville Mrs. James (Dorothy) Ripke of Nekoosa and Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Volovsek, Farmington, Minn. 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, two brothers and one granddaughter.
