Wolf, Donnell (1912 - 2000)
Donnell Donnie Wolf, 88, Willard, died
Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, after
a brief illness. Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 5,
2001, at Holy Family Church, Willard. The Rev. Joseph Follmar and
the Rev. Monsignor Matthew Malnar officiated. Burial was at the
Holy Family Cemetery, Willard.
Donnell Marencic was born to John and Agnes Marencic, in Willard.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph P. Ansick, in
Chicago, Ill., in 1945. She lived several years in Chicago, Ill.,
then returned to Wisconsin in 1949, to be co-owner of Lakeside
Lodge, Rock Dam, until 1952. She married Gordon Gordie Wolf, Thorp,
in 1952. He was a pharmacist and proprietor of Wolf Drugs, Thorp,
and she worked along side of him until their retirement in the
mid-1960's. He died in 1986. She lived feeding birds and animals.
She was known as the angel lady because of her vast collection of
angel figurines. She was a member of the Slovenian Singers, and the
church choir.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Ansick (Ray) DiPasquale,
Ithaca, N.Y. one son, Joseph (Laverne) Ansick, Chicago, Ill.
daughters, Joan Wolf (Art) Kaz, Dewey, Ariz., and Charmaine Wolf
(Al) Sondegaard, Mesa, Ariz. two nephews, Calaworth Page, Florida,
and Donald Page, Texas several cousins in Slovenia nine
grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents one sister, Alvina
Marencic Hilge and one brother, Rudy Marencic.
Thorp Funeral Home, Thorp, assisted the family with
arrangements.
