Jablonicky, Edward (1915 - 2001)
Edward Jablonicky, 85, Abbotsford, died on
Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at the Continental Manor Nursing Home,
Abbotsford, where he had resided the past 5 years. A memorial
service and interment will be held in the spring at Ascension
Cemetery, Libertyville, Ill. The Rev. James E. Merold will
officiate.
Edward Jablonicky was born July 4, 191, in North Chicago, Ill., to
Ignatz and Anna (nee Ondrijas) Jablonicky. He served in the U.S.
Navy during World War II. He married Inga Miller in 1935. He later
married Pearl Bennet in 1972. He was an iron worker for a good part
of his life with Cobetta Construction, Chicago, Ill. He later moved
to a hobby farm in the town of Green Grove, Curtiss. He retired to
Las Vegas, Nev., returning to the Abbotsford area in 1988.
Survivors include two sons, Donald E. (Joanne) Jablonicky and
Thomas R. (Kate) Jablonicky, both of Colby one sister, Grayce M.
Jablonicky, North Chicago, Ill. five grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents two wives two brothers,
Steven and Thomas Jablonicky and three sisters, Anna Bilka,
Elizabeth smith and Caroline Jablonicky.
Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford, is assisting the family with
arrangements.
