Matousek, Libby (1917 - 2001)
Libby Matousek, 83, Neillsville, died on
Sunday, April 15, 2001, at the Tomah Memorial Hospital, in Tomah.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, April 18, at
the Dells Dam Cemetery, town of Levis. The Rev. Craig Conklin, of
the United Methodist Church, officiated.
Libby Honzik was born on Oct. 18, 1917, in Berwyn, Ill., to Peter
and Anna Honzik. She attended the Hiawatha Grade School in Berwyn,
Ill., and also the town of Washburn Grade School. She married
Charles Matousek on May 4, 1935. After their marriage, they moved
to Chicago, Ill., where she worked in a factory. They returned to
Neillsville in 1951, and farmed 80 acres south of the Reed
School.
Survivors include one son, Charles (Joanne) Matousek, LaGrange
Park, Ill. and one grandson, Jim Matousek, LaGrange, Park, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Matousek, in Nov.
1995 one daughter, Betty Currin, in June 1999 two sisters and two
brothers.
Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with
arrangements.
