Kilty, Lyle John (1926 - 2001)
Lyle John Kilty, 74, Colby, Clark County,
died on Monday, May 28, 2001, at Colonial Center, Colby. Visitation
will begin at 4 p.m., on Wednesday, May 30, at Community Funeral
Home, Colby, with a combined Christian Mothers and Parish Rosary at
4 p.m., and until time of services at 11 a.m., at St. Mary's
Catholic Church, Colby, on Thursday, May 31. The Rev. John Malik
will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery,
town of Colby. Pallbearers will be Rick Kilty, Tom Gebelein, Jeremy
Kilty, Jamie Kilty, Keith Bruesewitz, Eric Sazama, Jesse
Sternitzky, and Terry Weiler.
Lyle John Kilty was born on July 9, 1926, in Unity, to William and
Florence (nee Mattson) Kilty. He attended Unity Public Schools. He
married Irma Weix on Aug. 2, 1945, at St. Mary's Catholic Church,
Colby. The farmed near Unity until they retired. He was a member of
St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Irma, Colby three sons, John (Joyce)
Kilty, Phillips, Joseph (Linda) Kilty, Unity, and Jeff (Karla)
Kilty, Riplinger eight daughters, Joan (Klyde) Gebelein, Colby,
Donna (Ken) Bruesewitz, Colby, Delores Kilty, Colby, Janice (Doug)
Oelrich, Stratford, Diane (Gale) Score, Fargo, N.D., Doreen
(Darnell) Sazama, Athens, Dawn (Jim) Hebda, Dorchester, and Bonnie
(Shon) Marcott, Unity 27 grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren two
step-great-grandchildren and four brothers, Donald (Virginia)
Kilty, Unity, Robert (Alveria) Kilty, Spencer, Marvin (Lucille)
Kilty, Colby, and Vern (Mary) Kilty, Athens.
He was preceded in death by his parents three brothers two sister
and one grandson.
Community Funeral Home, Colby, is assisting the family with
arrangements.
