Kluchesky, Selma W. (1908 - 2001)


Selma W. Sally Kluchesky, 93, Neillsville, died on Thursday, June 21, 2001, at the Memorial Nursing Home in Neillsville. Services were held on Monday, June 25, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville, with the Rev. Timothy Biebert officiating. Casket Bearers were Fritz Garbisch, David Kluchesky, Clarence Krause, Frederick Morley, Jim Scheel and Robert Scheel. Interment was in the Wautoma Union Cemetery in Wautoma.


Selma Foemmel was born on May 22, 1908, in Granton, to William and Martha (nee Ratsch) Foemmel. She received her education in the Granton Parochial School and graduated from the Lutheran School in Neillsville. She did domestic work in Chicago for several years, and worked for 10 years as a chiropractor assistant in Wautoma. She married Lawrence Kluchesky on June 25, 1938, in Neillsville. She worked with her husband in the chiropractor s office in Neillsville until his death in 1972. She entered the memorial Nursing Home in 1995. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.


Survivors include two sisters, Ella (Frank) Hoffmann, Neillsville and Elda (William) Morley, Granton, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, two brothers and two sisters.


Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with arrangements.
